The idea for this hoodie came from an unexpected place—Charlotte’s Web. Yes, the classic cartoon version! As I was watching my mind did what it always does—ran down a rabbit hole of thoughts and ideas. I started thinking about the word Friend—what it really means, how often I affirm myself throughout the day, and how that one simple word carries so much weight.
I even looked up the actual definition. Funny enough, there are plenty of words I use in the right context but never take the time to truly define. That led me to think about Friendship, the word associations that come with it, and the people in my life who embody that meaning.
The real fun began when I started wearing the hoodie in public. There were plenty of days I forgot I even had it on. But as someone who struggles with negative self-talk, I can’t tell you how good it felt to be standing in the produce aisle at Food Lion and randomly hear, “Hey Friend!” from a stranger.
Sometimes, we don’t realize how much we need those small affirmations—those reminders that we’re seen, valued, and connected to the world around us. This hoodie was born from that realization, and now, it’s available for you too.
